RTD-HO Daikin Control Interface
The RTD-HO is a control interface for Daikin VRV and Skyair ranges of air-conditioners. The interface is compatible with all units that have a P1,P2 remote controller network connection and allows control of up to 16 units in a single group.
The RTD-HO is designed to manage hotel rooms where a volt-free contact is used to indicate room occupancy status. When the room is occupied the occupant is allowed full access to the A/C operation through a wired remote controller, with setpoints limited to the range 19 to 24 or 29 in High Temperature Mode.
When the room is unoccupied the RTD will initially operate the room to maintain minimum comfort conditions for the occupant. After 18 hours the RTD reverts to the Unoccupied state and only operates the A/C to protect the room from extreme temperatures.
The RTD-HO also supports a window switch input to prevent unit operation when the room window is opened.
FDP2-F Fault Interface
The FDP2-F provides fault monitoring functionality with the ability to operate units in either local or central modes. Three preset modes can be set in order to lock the keypad and operate the units in Heat, Cool or Auto modes.
Group control can be achieved by networking multiple FDP2-Fs on the D-Bus network. If the master is operated in local mode then the additional FDP2-Fs act as slaves and so very large numbers of units can be operated from a single keypad. Alternatively the master can be operated in one of the central preset modes in which case all slaves operate to the same settings. If an FDP2-BMS is used as the master then the FDP2-F slaves can extend the control to a large number of units.
A pair of FDP2-Fs can be operated as a duty/standby pair with 24 hour duty changeover as well as changeover on fault. For more information on applications, download the FDP2 Application Guide.
FDP2-BMS Control Interface
The FDP2-BMS in its factory configuration is configured so that the 6 inputs can be connected to switches and variable resistances, or voltage sources such as BMS outputs, so that various unit functions can be altered. The inputs allow the unit setpoint, fanspeed, mode, louvre operation, on/off state and keypad lock state to be altered. This allows basic control of the units operation without the need for any reconfiguration of the FDP2. When switching between central and local control, an the FDP2-BMS can be configured to restore the user settings from the previous local operation.
The size of the group can be extended by adding additional FDP2-F and FDP2-BMS on the D-Bus network. For more information on applications, download the FDP2 Application Guide.
